Summary
Muscat Golf Course Project LLC (MGCP) has undertaken the InterContinental Hotel & Golf Clubhouse project at Muscat, Oman.

The project involves the construction of a 270-room luxury five-star hotel with an 18-hole golf course on a 50,000m2 built up area. It will include the construction of two tennis courts, three outdoor swimming pools and a spa, a gymnasium, treatment rooms, two full-service specialty restaurants, one all-day dining restaurant, a ballroom, fully equipped meeting facilities and enhanced business services.

In April 2012, An agreement was signed with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) to manage the facility.

In July 2013, PacRim Group entered agreements for the development of the project.

In August 2014, Arabtech Jardaneh Engineers & Architects was appointed as architect for the project.

On May 14, 2015, All investors signed the shareholder's agreement.

AZ Engineers & Partners L.L.C has been appointed as the main contractor and Aymek Group as MEP subcontractor for the project.

In August 2016, the early construction works on the project were commenced and were later placed on hold, due to some undisclosed reason.

In March 2018, MGCP resumed the project plans and commenced excavation works.

Excavation works are presently underway with main construction works are expected to commence in the second quarter of 2018 and completion scheduled by 2022.
