Municipalidad Provincial de Arequipa (MPA), is planning to develop the Tren Ligero de Arequipa in Arequipa, Peru.
The project involves the construction of a 30km light rail system, stations, administrative buildings and related facilities and installation of rolling stock, rail tracks, electrical and related equipment.
The light rail track will be laid Axis Sucre, Bolivar, Jerusalem and San Juan de Dios area.
The rail route will go from the Cono Norte to the Socabaya al Sur de la Ciudad Blanca, passing through the historic center.
Arequipa Light Rail project is a part of Integrated Transportation System in Arequipa (SIT).
