The Ministry of Public Works, Kuwait (MPWK) is undertaking the construction of the judicial tower in Kuwait City.

The project involves the construction of two, 53 story, 255m judicial towers. It involves the construction of a new house interview rooms, a crime victim hall, courtrooms, administrative space, waiting areas and parking facilities.

Amiri Diwan has been appointed as an associated developer.

The local Gulf Consult and the UK’s Atkins were appointed as the lead consultants and OPS Structures as the structural engineers.

In 2016, MPWK initiated the tender process for appointment of main contractor.

Al-Ahmadiah Contracting & Trading; Al-Hani Construction & Trading; Al-Ghanim International; General Trading & Contracting; Bayan National Construction Contracting; Combined Group Contracting; Sayed Hameed Behbehani & Sons have been selected as the pre-qualified bidders.

In January 2017, MPWK issued bids to the pre-qualified bidders with the bid submission deadline as February 28, 2017.

In May 2017, Al-Ahmadiah Contracting & Trading; Al-Hani Construction & Trading; Combined Group Contracting; Sayed Hameed Behbehani & Sons have been shortlisted.

Al-Kharafi & Sons Company has been appointed as general contractor.
