Nassau County (NC) and Nassau County Police Department Foundation (NCPDF) are planning to build a training center in Garden City, New York, the USA.
The project involves the construction of a 9,290m2, three-story training center on 4ha of land. It includes the construction of classrooms, a library, staff rooms, an auditorium, parking and related facilities.
The project will be funded with US$10 million from capital funding and US$30 million from donations.
On February 3, 2015, NC and NCPDF issued a request for proposal (RfP) from companies to provide architectural and engineering services with February 18, 2015 as the submission date.
Spectra Architects has been appointed as an architect.
NCPDF issued RFP with submission deadline as November 30, 2017.
Tender activities are underway and the ground breaking ceremony is expected in 2018.
