Summary
OBB Infrastruktur AG (OBB), Government of Vorarlberg (GoV) and Marktgemeinde Rankweil (MR) are undertaking the renovation of the Rankweil railway station in Vorarlberg, Austria.

The project involves the renovation of an existing railway station, a new station building, railway tracks, and platforms, the construction of a bus terminal, a new underpass and three new platform edges with length of 660m and a height of 55cm, modernization of interlocking systems and the installation of three elevators and related facilities.

The project is being built in two phases.

Besch und Partner has been appointed as the consultant for the project.

Ostertag Architects designed the project.

The demolition and site-preparation work was commenced in the fourth quarter of 2014 and was completed in the first quarter of 2015.

Porr Bau GmbH was appointed as EPC contractor.

In May 2015 the construction work was commenced for phase I.

In July 2015, the construction work was commenced for phase II

The construction work of phase I and II will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2017.
