Southern Power Company (SPC), a subsidiary of Southern Company and Wartsila Energy Solutions (Wartsila) are planning to build a gas power plant in the US.
The project involves the construction of a gas power plant with the generation capacity of 450MW. It includes construction of a substation, storage tanks, pumping stations and related facilities, the installation of safety and security systems, and the laying of transmission lines.
In June 2017, SPC and Wartsila signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop the power plant.
