The project involves the construction of a 390MW wind farm in a 10,000ha area.

The project includes the construction of a substation, seven meteorological masts, an operations and maintenance facility, temporary construction compounds, turbine lay down and hardstand areas, access tracks and three temporary concrete batching plants, the installation of 114 wind turbines, and the laying of 72km, 33kV underground transmission lines; 27km, 33kV overhead transmission lines and; 10km, 275kV overhead transmission lines.

Australian Cultural Heritage Management Pty Ltd and EBS Ecology have been appointed as environmental consultants.

On February 28, 2014, TPW logged the formal planning application with the Mid Murray Council. The application included outcomes of the site survey works and specialist technical studies that were undertaken to address queries raised by the extensive community consultation.

On August 18, 2014, TPW lodged an updated development application with the council.

The public consultation was held from May 6, 2015 to May 20, 2015.

On December 18, 2015, TPW received planning consent from independent Development Assessment Panel (DAP) of Australia.

TPW is waiting for necessary approvals from the Environmental Resources and Development court and the final decision on whether the wind farm will go ahead will be taken in August 2017.
