University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is undertaking the construction of an engineering innovation center in Lancashire, the UK.

The project involves the construction of an engineering innovation center in phases. It includes the construction of six-story classrooms, a research facility, staff rooms, a cafe, a gym, roof terrace, parking and related facilities.

Bradley Demolition has been appointed as the demolition contractor, BDP as engineering design consultant, and SimpsonHaugh and Partners and Reiach and Hall Architects as architects.

On May 18, 2015, demolition work at the project site commenced and was completed in December 2015.



In March 2016, UCLan submitted planning application and secured approval from the Preston City Council in June 2016.

In September 2016, BAM Construction was awarded the construction contract.

On November 14, 2016, construction works commenced.

In January 2018, steel structure work was completed.

Concrete flooring works are underway and entire construction work is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2019.
