Summary
The Usaha Tegas Group (UTG) through its subsidiary St John’s Wood Square Ltd is undertaking the construction of the St John’s Wood Barracks Redevelopment project in London, the UK.

The project involves the construction of a residential community on a 2.2ha site.

The project will include the demolishing of the exiting barracks, apart from the Grade II-listed former riding school, replacing it with the construction of 163 residential units, consisting of 147 apartments in eight blocks, 16 houses, and a 1,003m2 of retail space. The former riding school will be turned into a spa, swimming pool and gym.

Arcadis has been appointed as a project manager and WSP Global has a Consulting Engineering.

Squire and Partners and Wilkinson Eyre Architects have been appointed as architects, DP9, John MacAslan + Partners as a planning consultant, Andy Sturgeon as a landscape architect, Robert Bird Group as a structural engineer, Atelier Ten as an environmental consultant.

In February 2012, UTG appointed London square as project management consultant.

In September 2014, UTG submitted the new plans for the project to Westminster City Council for approval.

On January 22, 2015, the project secured planning approval from the Westminster City Council.

Craigewan has been appointed as the marketing consultant.

In February 2017, UTG is planning to increase the number of homes from 163 to 171 units.

In March 2017, public consultations are held on the project.

In June 2017, UTG has appointed Lendlease as the design consultant. The scope of work includes providing advice during the detailed design phase of the development prior to the appointment of the main contractor.

In July 2017, Lendlease is appointed as the main contractor

In August 2017, UTG secured planning approvals.
